This past weekend my family and I went back to our town that we used to live in because we had some work to do on our house that we still own.
I'm glad we went because it was nice to see how everything was and I got to see some of my friends. Every time we go back it just feels like a different world to me then where we are now. It's weird to see how we used to live and where we are now because of how different the customs are here. One of the main reasons is probably that I've never lived in the city before (especially a big one.) But, going back makes me realize more and more how much more interesting our lives have become. I know I have said this in the past, but we have so many new opportunities just waiting to be put into use. Now, don't get me wrong, I love my hometown and I always will, and it's great to get to go back and visit. Whats really cool is that it's only a three and a half hour drive over there. The point of me saying this is, whenever you receive an opportunity and you don't know whether to take it or not, go for it. Yes, you probably have heard this before but it's so true! You wouldn't want to think back on your life and wish that you had taken an opportunity but didn't. If it doesn't work out, that's okay! At least you tried and know that is not what you want to do. That doesn't necessarily mean you need to move to another city in order to find an opportunity, I'm pretty sure there are some right now where you are at this very moment. It doesn't have to be big, it could be as simple as trying a new food that you have always wanted to try or even starting a new club at school. Like I said before, whenever given an opportunity, take it. You won't be disappointed. ♥
