Today marks the 3-year blogiversary of My life as Madalyn. Three years ago this journey started and it hasn't stopped any time since.
It is crazy to think that the impromptu decision to start this blog has grown so much over the years. So many things have changed with the blog and my view of it. When I first started I didn't really know what I was doing (and still don't) but have finally begun deciding on what I want to do with it and what direction I want to take it in.
At first, it was just a way to share my life experiences as a "diary" to look back on in the future. Over time though my interests changed and I started doing posts over different categories such as lifestyle, beauty, and faith. As of now I still like to do posts over many different categories and particularly like doing faith posts.
The design of my blog has changed drastically as well. I seem to change my mind about things pretty frequently and I always get new ideas so it shouldn't be too surprising to see the design change every once in a while. From it starting out as a basic gray and peach colored theme with poorly designed icons to flowers and pink to where it is now I think it is safe to say it had some pretty rough times. When I changed it this recent time I did a whole re-branding and I am pretty happy with it so it shouldn't change any time soon.
All in all, I am very happy that I have continued and I want to continue blogging for the foreseeable future. It has been through many different drastic changes but I like where it is now and that is just a part of having something for so long. Plus, it is fun to look back as I am doing now to see how it has changed.
Today marks the 3-year blogiversary and I am content with where I am and where the blog is and I hope that I will be saying this 5, 10, or maybe even 50 years from now. Thank y'all so much for following (and sticking!) along with me and I am so excited to continue on this journey. ♥
