19 Things I learned While I Was 19

Well, today I turn 20 years old. I don't know if it is just that number that is mindblowing or the fact that I am no longer a teenager. Either way, I can't believe that it is April 5, 2020.

If you saw my post that I did last year on my birthday titled "18 Things I Learned While I Was 18" then you would know what this post is about. If not then go read that post and then come back to this one so that you can read about the lessons that I learned this past year.

Without further ado here are 19 things that I learned while I was 19. Going along with last year's disclaimer, some of these points are more thought-provoking than others and others are just great reminders.

     1. There are blessings everywhere, even when they may not be immediately recognizable.

     2. Don't take time with others for granted.

     3. Basic necessities aren't a given for some.

     4. Take the time to appreciate the "small" things.

     5. Circumstances may be uncertain but God is not.

     6. Joy is always possible.

     7. A full schedule does not mean a full life.

     8. Sometimes plans change for good reasons.

     9. Every minute of every day is a gift.

    10. Let your loved ones know how much they are loved.

    11. Use your time wisely.

    12. Just take the first step.

    13. Sleep is important.

    14. Take the chance.

    15. Don't let your temporary feelings hold you back from opportunities.

    16. We are called to be on His mission every day, even when we don't feel like it.

    17. Genuinely check in with those around you.

    18. Choose to see the good.

    19. Don't get so hung up in the past that it makes you miss the present.

I learn new things all of the time so I have a lot more that I could add to this list but I will just wait until next year to share them. (; If you have anything that you learned this past year that you would like to share then please leave them in the comments below! I always love reading what y'all have to say.

I'm looking forward to what this year brings and the new lessons that God will be teaching me. It's always fun to think back over the past year and I will be interested to know how that will look a year from today. I'm praying that 20 is a good one.

Well, that's all for now. #BRINGITON20 ♥
