So today is the last day of November and that means that it is the last day for me to complete my monthly goals. It also means that tomorrow marks the first day of December! I love this time of year and Christmas is easily my favorite holiday. I love it.

Below is a recap of my November goals and an answer to whether or not I completed them:

• Post twice a week

I can proudly say that, yes, I accomplished this. I honestly don't know how I did it but I did.

• At least 2 Instagram posts

Ok, so this is sad but no I did not complete this. I posted one but not two. I really need to work on my Insta game.

• Plan more future posts and goals

I feel like I can say I did this but maybe not as much as I would like to. I have brainstormed more frequently but I can certainly do better.

• Get stuff done 

Yes and no. I was productive in some ways but not in others. Examples include (like mentioned above) posting twice a week but not posting as much to other social medias.


Overall, I think I accomplished an adequate amount of these goals. I can feel better knowing that I got some things done.

As I said previously tomorrow marks the first day of December. Blogmas is in question but I can guarantee some pretty neat Christmas posts. I hope that y'all will like them!

Lastly, I am not 100% sure that I will continue posting twice a week just because of the amount of work that it takes and also the other things I have going on but I am reaching to at least one post each week (most likely on Sundays but we will see). I think that is all I have for today so have a great rest of your day! ♥

I'm not going to lie, I am writing this at 10pm because I forgot today is Sunday and I forgot to write a post for today. It's okay though because I am writing one now and I figured I might as well share how my Thanksgiving went so here it goes...

My Thanksgiving was filled with family and thanks. It also included some good great food and a multitude of smiles and laughs. We also did these place mats that I thought was such a cute idea. We all had our own and wrote why we were thankful for each one of us-I definitely recommend you and your family try it out. Not only did my family and I get to see/hang out on Thanksgiving but we also had a couple days before that, that we spent together. Overall, I loved it and am so thankful that we got the opportunity to see each other. It was a great time.

I know that this was short but I did not want to break my streak for posting every Sunday and Wednesday so I hope that this works for now.

Since tomorrow is Thanksgiving, I wanted to share some things that I am thankful for. I could never fit everything that I am thankful for, in one post so this will be a summed-up version.

My blog name and URL have changed! Now I know what you're thinking-"really...again?" Yes, I know I am a very indecisive person but I think that this one will stay for a while. It has gone from "My life as Maddie" (www.mylifeasmaddie.com) to "My life as Madalyn" (www.mylifeasmadalyn.com).

This post was mainly a reminder and notice of the change and also a notice that on December 7, 2016   you will have to use www.mylifeasmadalyn.com in order to visit my blog. Until that day, www.mylifeasmaddie.com is being forwarded to the current address for your convenience and also so that you will have time to adjust to this change.

Why did I change it? Honestly, I don't really know. I mean, I do but I don't, haha. I just didn't really like that name anymore since, well....it's not really my name. (It is my nickname for those of you that are confused.) I thought that it would be easier to have one name across all of my platforms (social media and all).

Now, knowing me I'm sure it will change sometime in the future, and it might not, but we will just have to see. If I do change it again I will be sure to notify all of y'all. Until then, welcome to My life as Madalyn (formerly known as My life as Maddie). ♥

It's almost Thanksgiving! Yay! I can already smell the mashed potatoes and turkey. (; Since my family and I celebrate Thanksgiving every year I thought I would give all of y'all an inside-look into what my Thanksgiving's usually look like. To cut it short it's family, food, and feeling stuffed after eating all of it. Haha, while it does include these things, it's not all of it.

My Thanksgiving's usually include hanging with family (sometimes up to a week prior), cooking, sharing what we're all thankful for, and eating the day of Thanksgiving. We will also sometimes stay with family a few days after Thanksgiving.

As you can tell, Thanksgiving for me is centered around family and I enjoy every minute of it. It is always fun when you get to spend time with family after not seeing them for a while. I am so blessed to have the wonderful family that I have and the opportunity to spend Thanksgiving with them, it is always an enjoyable experience.

This quote holds a lot of meaning. But, not only that, it has an important meaning. Sometimes, we are looking forward to something but might be dreading the days/moments prior because we are just so focused on what's to come but not really focused on what's happening then. Instead of going through the days as "just another day" this quote reminds us to live each day as an important one and to get every moment out of each, as possible.

I could definitely take this into account. I should live every moment as a brand new opportunity. I take things for granted too much.

Speaking of opportunities, I have a blog post all about opportunities that you can read here. That post was written over a year ago but it is still credible with this topic so you can check that out if you want.

In summary, please don't take things for granted-please. I find myself reminding myself that all of the time and I can't stress it enough but I should still try to work on it. In any moment, simply reminding yourself and saying "Hey, remember this; realize what you are experiencing right now." You never know when you might want that memory again. ♥

It's November?!! That is insane. January feels like it was yesterday yet next January is less than 2 months away! Wow.

For this month I wanted to start it off a little differently so I decided it would be a good idea if I shared my November goals with you all. Now I usually don't set goals on paper that I intend on sticking to (well, at least not every month) but I thought this month would be a good time to finally do just that. So, here are my goals for November 2016.

• Post twice a week (Wednesday and Sunday)

• At least 2 Instagram posts

I know 2 doesn't sound like a lot but for me, it is. I hope I really reach this goal. I love photography and taking pictures and just Instagram in general but I always seem to be short of photos to post. I plan on taking more whenever I can and posting them more regularly.

• Plan more future posts and goals 

I have a tendency to not write things down, I wish I did. I will come up with ideas and goals but will forget them when it comes time to use them so I always get stuck on what I had thought of in the past. If I write down my future goals and ideas, maybe it will make things a lot easier.

• Get stuff done

My days go by so fast. I never get as much done as I would like to so for the month of November, I will try to complete as many things as possible to actually feel accomplished and to hopefully get the most out of every day as possible.

So tomorrow is Halloween and I don't know about you, but I feel like it came up really fast. I have told myself that I should at least do something for the holiday because I know that if I don't, I will regret it. I am a little too old to dress up and go trick-or-treating but let's be real here, I am going to miss it haha. Just because trick-or-treating is not on my agenda this year doesn't mean that I can't do anything. In fact, I already binged watched all 4 Halloweentown movies this year and I don't feel bad about it at all. For those that want to do something, but don't have anything planned on Halloween, I have come-up with a few things that you could do to say that you didn't completely ignore the holiday.
